Social Contribution Activities
Aiming to create a society abounding in sei-katsu-sha’s aspirations and where they can live vibrant lives, the Hakuhodo DY Group considers contributing to solving social issues to be part of its corporate responsibility. Amid rapidly changing business and social environments, we are advancing solutions to various social issues facing individual sei-katsu-sha and local communities, marshaling the power of people to the full.
Approach to Social Contribution Activities
To pursue human-centered sustainable management, the Hakuhodo DY Group has developed a sustainability policy and materiality under its Global Purpose, “Aspirations Unleashed break down boundaries, open new doors and usher in new eras for every sei-katsu-sha, organization and society.”
With regard to the material issue “contribution to the development of human resources for the future and local communities,” in particular, we will contribute by unleashing the aspirations of each employee and leveraging our unique expertise, including Sei-katsu-sha Insight and creativity. Specifically, we are working to realize a sustainable future by addressing and meeting challenges of society as a whole, beginning with individual sei-katsu-sha, through education for the next generation, support for community development and the raising of awareness about social issues.

Education for the next generation
At a time of momentous, rapid change, the future is hard to predict, but filled with possibilities. Against this backdrop, the Hakuhodo DY Group provides opportunities for middle and high school students, the next-generation sei-katsu-sha who will shape the future, to learn from experience about our strengths of Sei-katsu-sha Thinking and creativity and develop their ability to think for themselves and address problems in cooperation with their peers.

Support for community development
Recognizing that an approach tailored to the needs and characteristics of residents is essential for the development of local communities, we are seeking to contribute to the effective utilization of local resources and the activation of local economies. The Hakuhodo DY Group values community-minded Sei-katsu-sha Thinking, and is committed to working with local residents, businesses and governments toward sustainable development.
Raising of awareness about social issues
In partnership with actors addressing social issues across borders, including UN agencies and non-profit and non-governmental organizations, we are leveraging the power of creativity, a major strength of the Hakuhodo DY Group, to deepen sei-katsu-sha understanding and help create an enabling environment for action. In so doing, we are raising awareness about compelling questions regarding the environment, poverty and educational inequality, among others, across society.
